My favorite wing place around but it’s expensive for boned wings. Extra hot sauce has great flavor. Very inconsistent though.Randomly they do this weird thing when you order buffalo tenders where they give you naked tenders, with sauce on the side. Who wants that when ordering buffalo tenders? Other times they barely sauce the wings. That being said, I still go quite often, id go even more if the staff wasn’t ALWAYS seemingly offended when taking a pick up order.EDIT: 3/30/19 current staff is no longer bitter.

Friendly staff inside. Good food and a diverse menu. Besides their hotdogs, they have GREAT chicken sandwiches. Not bland at all like some other places. Of course, if you've never been you have to try the hot dogs.

Horrible every single time. Incredibly rude staff, gets the order wrong every time. I have witnessed staff arguing and yelling at each other even been hung up on when trying to order. We continued to go back because the food is halfway decent but I'm done. Just picked up a simple order, which had to be remade upon my arrival because another staff had walked out so she had to call her parents for help. She gave my incorrect order to her family member while i stood there waiting for my food, even tho that's why i call ahead so i dont have to wait. I watched him eat my food for free as i waited and was still unhappy when i got home. The order was still incorrect even after a second attempt. Never again!

Aside from good, filling food, Spike's is the only eatery whose TV is NOT always turned to sports!

Its normally really good but must've been an off night!

Specifically asked over the phone for cheese fries with the cheddar slices instead of cheese sauce and a side of honey mustard. Got home and the fries had cheese sauce instead of cheddar slices and no honey mustard.Don't ever get takeout from here without checking your food first.

I do like the overall product. However, as with many other business these days, prices are going UP while quality is going down.get two dogs with no drink and no fries and you'll be paying around $8-9add a combo they say for like another $4... (fries and soda)

Awesome food and staff. Food is always nice and hot! Even gave us a free junkyard fries and cookie!! Burgers fries chicken and dogs all delicious!!!

What a very unique place to have lunch aside from that my food was great. I I had the Texas Ranger meal that comes with the fries and then I had the lemonade-their homemade lemonade is delicious.

Best hotdogs in RI... Big hotdogs with lots of toppings to choose from. They also serve burgers and chicken. Fries are good too.

I've patronized SJD for decades. This visit was particularly terrific due mostly to the two young men working behind the counter. Put it this way, I always tip a couple of bucks when getting fast food; the exceptional service caused me to leave at least triple my usual gratuity; this coupled with the great food deserves Five Stars¹.¹ Sadly, during the last six months or thereabouts, SJD missed the mark re multiple aspects of food quality, namely and arguably the most important two, taste & texture; also, appearance was subpar, but I don't deduct for this ever doing so is snooty).Luckily their food has been consistently up to snuff during the past month and a half or so) Fortunately, every visit to Spike's in the past month and a half or so has been satisfyingly tasty.My last meal there was reminiscent of Spike's on Thayer during the early-late 1990's. I'm happy to SJD seems to have gotten their $h¡+ together again!

Spikes is delicious! I get the veggie dog with various toppings and it's so yummy. The service is fast and I love the Spike pictures on the walls.

Amazing, old-time tasting charbroiled burgers and tasty bun. Like a burger used to be. (By the way, I ordered it without the special sauce. Not sure how that would be.)

You need to eat here. Best dogs anywhere. Big hot dogs on crusty rolls with lots of extras on top. Chicago style made Rhode Island style.

Not many places where you can get a veggie dog, and have it be a good deal and a decent meal. I wish they'd start carrying veggie burger patties, too, but I'm still happy to join my omnivore friends here for a meal any time. It's a fun theme, and the variety of toppings feels almost limitless.

They really need to update their Spike Dog's menu. The website only show a few.

The customer service, the quality of food (for fast food) is just superb. I only have one viable selection (fat free veggie dogs) and although it is yummy, I wish they'd switch brands. The brand they currently use is Smart Dogs (available from Stop & Shop, Shaw's, etc) but the best veggie dogs are from Yves. If they make the switch over, I'd gladly give them 10 stars! :)

Very good but dont eat too much or you will get sick of it. You can get fat quick because of how good it is.

The door was lock at 11:09 am and the hour are to be open at 11am. Then I called in for the order, the lady said to call back in 20 mins because she is opening by herself and is not ready setting up yet if I can give zero star I would. 1 star is being generous for a service that I never received

Hot dog was good. But the place is dirty! Looks Luke they haven't cleaned in years. Don't buy a fountain drink! Gross!!

I was near the Park/Reservoir Ave location so I thought I would stop in. Hadn't been to this one in years. I placed order and told the cashier it was "to go". The cook made the hotdogs and put them on a tray then walked away. I told the cashier, again, that it was "to go". The cashier then grabbed the 2 hotdogs WITH HER BARE HANDS and put them in a box. I will NEVER go to this location ever again. I will stick to the Branch Avenue location. They are much cleaner and they know how to handle food.

Been going here for years. Big ol' hotdogs served on hoagie rolls, with a plethora of toppings and condiments. The curly fries are really nice as well. Definitely stop by here if you're looking to get a great hotdog.

This place is Awesome!! Friendly staff, huge menu with lots of items to choose from. Best Dogs I've ever had! We got 4 hot dogs, (Texas Ranger, Chili Cheddar, Ball park & German Shepherd) washed it down with a Spike's root beer. Definitely coming here again!!

Went on a Thu night service and food quality was not good. If this is typical then place has taken a nose dive.

Food is really good. I love the chicken wings and fries the best. Some staff are nice when you order in, but I experienced calling for take out and the guy who picked up sound like he didn't want to be there and had a sluggish attitude that made me not even want to order anymore and cancelled my whole order.

Enjoyed the Junkyard Veggie dog, German Shepard Veggie dog, large curley fries and a fountain Dr Pepper. So good. Will be back!
